Prior to Viking Systems, he spent five years as the CFO of Sensoria Corporation, a developer of mobile wireless mesh-networking software and hardware. Other positions Mr. Decker has held include Senior Vice President and CFO of NeoPoint, Inc., a developer of wireless “Smartphones” and Internet services; Finance Director for Qualcomm’s 1 billion dollar Consumer Products Division; and Controller and International Finance Director for Ericsson Raynet. Concerto Networks is Ranked #18 in the Franchise Times FAST 55 by Franchise Times Magazine

Concerto Networks, Inc., a San Diego headquartered company with franchise locations throughout the U.S., New Zealand, Spain, Ireland and the UK, is pleased to announce its ranking of #18 in the FAST 55 for 2007, by Franchise Times Magazine.

The 2007 Fast 55 is the fourth year the results have been published. To be considered, the franchise brand must have been franchising less than five years and experienced positive franchise unit growth each year. The average franchise company listed on the Fast 55 grew over 100 percent per year.

The Rankings were published this month and can be viewed online at Franchise Times' website along with complete details regarding the rankings. Oregon Entrepreneur Becomes First Concerto Networks Technology Solutions Franchise Owner in Portland

Concerto Networks announced today its newest franchise owner, Nathan O’Bryan, is operating the first Concerto Networks Business Technology Solutions Franchise to operate within Portland, Oregon. Concerto Networks provides complete business technology solutions and consulting to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). O’Bryan brings more than 15 years of Information Technology (IT), entrepreneurial and business experience to his new post with Concerto Networks.  

“I am excited to not only deliver much needed, professional technology support to small and medium businesses in Portland,” said O’Bryan “but with the support of a franchise, it will help me to both grow my business and offer more value to my clients.”

Nathan is ready to begin helping businesses in his area immediately after completing training at Concerto Networks University™ in December. Prior to coming on board with Concerto Networks, Nathan spent over fifteen years in various technical roles, from data center support to network and systems administration, working with well known organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, Lockheed Martin, GE Capital and the United States Marine Corps (USMC). Most recently he has been providing technical support as a consultant to local businesses within the Portland area. Nathan is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

9 Tech Service Franchises To Keep Your Eye On

Given all the talk about better marketing skills needed across the solution provider channel to get the name out, the recent issue of Entrepreneur magazine, which just came out with its latest Franchise 500, caught my eye.

Although there aren't scads of them, there are a number of tech services franchises popping onto the scene. Not only might you find yourself competing local against them, they could be valuable partners if your own service needs outgrow your ability to handle them internally. I also think you might be able to take a cue from their advertising and outreach activities.
